WOASF Annual Golf Tournaments
FY2022: October, 2021 through September 2022
Once again out on the course and celebrating the tournament as a group, WOASF golfers turned out to support scholarships for Navy dependents from the aviation community. With beautiful weather, though in some cases a bit chilly, together the PAX River, Hampton Roads and Coronado tournaments were a huge success. Together the three tournaments raised $50,000 for scholarships.

We began the Fiscal Year and the 2021-2022 Scholarship Season in Patuxent River, MD on a chilly day in November. While lunch is on the go at this tournament, everyone enjoyed gathering at the end for a drink and a quick awards ceremony.
Annual Virginia Beach/ Norfolk Golf Tournament

Sewells Point Golf Course, Norfolk, VA
WOASF made a change of venue in 2022 and held the golf tournament off base to give golfers a new experience on a course designed by Donald Ross in 1926 where Arnold Palmer made his professional debut. While cold in the morning, the sun was out in full force turning the day into a warm one. Adding to the fun, Freedom Shooting Center donated a golf ball launching experience that the golfers loved. Ending with a delicious lunch, it was fantastic to once again have our awards ceremony.
Annual Coronado Golf Tournament

Rounding out our season of golf as well as closing the scholarship season, WOASF found itself in beautiful Coronado, CA. Golfers came out to enjoy a fantastic day of golf complete with the WOASF Whiskey Wall and Wine Wall. To add to the day, Callaway Golf generously donated 11 golf clubs and an amazing lightweight golf bag. It was great to have friends from The Wingman Foundation and The AWS1 James Buriak Foundation with us for the day.
