A Message From the Chair

WOASF’s Worldwide Day of Giving is an opportunity for the Navy aviation community around the world to use their individual power of generosity to connect and show support for the children and spouses who make sacrifices every day for their service members. It’s a day to come together to give back.

It’s an opportunity for Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation to tell our story, engage lifelong advocates, reach Navy aviation families around the world and build the WOASF community.  It's

In this time of uncertainty and stress, our resiliency shows that together we can weather any storm. The birth of Navy Aviation not only reflects the innovation this year’s crisis has inspired but also the WOASF mission of providing much needed financial assistance through scholarships, in essence—

Helping Students’ Futures Take Flight!

Wings Over America Scholarship Foundationn seeks to ease the financial burden of tuition for Navy aviation dependent children and spouses who have chosen to continue their education. We believe knowledge is power and ALL students deserve to reach their educational goals without crippling debt. This year has been unlike any other but students still have dreams and aspirations. They are still working toward their futures and need the scholarships WOASF provides.

Rachel Hardison

“This scholarship award has been a blessing to me and my family.  It has eased the financial burden of tuition and allows me to dedicate my free time to my volunteer work with the local Fire Department. Now more than ever, I appreciate the flexibility this scholarship has given me to serve my community as an EMT and Firefighter.”

McMurray, Kari 1.jpg “Receiving this generous scholarship award means that not only my service as a supportive military spouse is valued, but also my goals and contributions as an independent citizen as well. The decision to go back to school was a difficult one with consideration of all the sacrifices my family would have to make. I have worked hard to achieve academic success and will continue to do so. It has truly been my honor to serve alongside my husband for the last 14 years of active duty and I am excited to enter a new life of service of my own. I am proud to tell my children that my

hard work, together with your scholarship, equates to less of a financial hardship on our family during this transition into the working world. They were prepared to give up beloved activities in support of my dreams, but it was my dream that they would not have to. The assistance with tuition is truly the positive difference that we needed to maintain as much of a sense of normalcy as can be expected. Thank you, Wings Over America, for the support and encouragement.”
